A Doctor, A Gardener, A Radiant Soul
Meera Krishnan, 76, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2026, holding her daughter's hand. Born in 1950, Meera practised paediatrics for four decades — thousands of Portland children knew her as the doctor with the sticker drawer and the endless patience. Her roses won prizes; her smile won everyone.
She is survived by her husband Rajan; her children Priya and Arjun; and five grandchildren who will grow up hearing that kindness is a discipline she practised daily. A celebration of life with music and marigolds will honour her Hindu faith and her joy.
