Our Services

Mourning Service

The service ends, but grief does not. We gather the bereaved, remember by name, and walk beside you through the whole first year.

What It Entails

Space To Grieve, Company For The Road

Some families want a graveside farewell beneath the open sky; others gather months later for a memorial when the shock has softened. We conduct both — and then we stay. Our aftercare companions call, write, and sit with you; our remembrance evenings gather the bereaved four times a year in candlelight.

Grief has no timetable and no wrong shape. Whether you need practical help, a listening ear, or simply a quiet garden to visit, our doors and grounds remain open to you.

  • Graveside and memorial services at our grounds, your church or a place they loved
  • Celebrant-led remembrance with readings, music and candle lighting
  • Monthly grief circles and one-to-one companionship for a full year
  • Quarterly remembrance evenings and an anniversary call and card
  • Children's grief support and guidance for schools and families

“Six months after my husband's funeral I was still barely coping. The grief circle at Evergreen Hollow gave me people who understood — and Grace's monthly calls gave me back my footing.”

Good To Know

Mourning Questions, Answered

Not at all. Many families hold a small graveside farewell first and a larger memorial weeks or months later, when family can gather and the shock has eased. Both are equally honoured here.

Eight to ten bereaved people meet monthly with a trained companion — tea, an opening reading, and conversation that goes wherever it needs to. There is no advice and no pressure to speak; many simply listen for the first few months.

Yes. A full year of aftercare — calls, circles, remembrance evenings and the anniversary card — is included with every funeral and cremation we conduct. It is part of the promise, not an extra.

Children are warmly welcome, and we run a dedicated children's morning each quarter with stories, drawing and gentle conversation. Our companions also advise parents and schools on supporting grieving young people.
