If the death was expected at home, call the hospice nurse or physician first, then call us — we answer day and night and will receive your loved one whenever you are ready. If it was sudden, call emergency services first; when they release your loved one, one call brings us. There is nothing you must decide in the first hours except to call.

Within a day or two is usual, but there is no rule. Some families meet us the same evening for comfort; others need a few days with close family first. Your loved one rests safely in our care either way.

Only what you have to hand: their identification, any pre-arrangement papers, a recent photograph for the tribute, and clothes you would like them to wear. Everything else — music ideas, readings, flower thoughts — can come later or never at all. We will guide you.
